This east-side couple incorporated a little THORN floral into their engagement shoot! Isn’t it cute? Shot by Scarlet O’Neill in Toronto’s trendy Leslieville neighbourhood.
Earlier this May, I had lovely morning with Tania Dee, of Verveine Studios. As a female entrepreneur, it’s so beneficial chatting with like-minded, hard working individuals. THORN floral is all about supporting strong willed, hustling women! Who run the world – GIRLS!
I’ve worked with Tania on numerous, gorgeous styled shoots last season. To date, all of our editorial collaborations have been published on established wedding blogs. This day we did something a little different.. Tania shot my little floral shop, which included the women behind THORN floral – myself, Victoria!
This week I had another fun opportunity to collaborate with a team of local vendors for a videography + photography styled shoot at Jam Factory T.O. This loving video was shot by Twenty 5 Films. It was a pleasure working with Toronto-based event planner, Amanda Chapman of Open Sky Weddings once again too!
The main theme around the shoot was this romantic couple embracing their first dance. As they twirled around the industrial setting of Jam Factory T.O., Brent Miller LIVE covered “Times Like These” by Foo Fighters.
The shoot also featured the ‘#TheJustMarriedJacket’ which originated in Toronto. If you haven’t heard about the travelling bridal leather jacket – click here

In celebration of Mother’s Day right around the corner, here is just a few of THORN floral’s favourite Mama wedding moments. Grab a tissue!
Who doesn’t love the beach – Seriously?! Shot within mid summer of 2017 at Scarborough Bluffs, a natural escapement within Toronto. The setting of this styled shoot was romantic & coastal chic. I’ll say it again & again, THORN floral loves collaborating with local, talented wedding vendors.

The Wedding Co. is a collaborative group of local wedding professionals, serving unique couples in Toronto, the GTA and southern Ontario. As a member of The Wedding Co., THORN floral excitedly took part in their 2018 Spring Market (February 25th, 2018). On what felt like the sunniest, warmest day of February – A crowd of 700+ mingled The Wychwood Barns to meet 65+ passionate wedding professionals.
We can all admit, that bus is seriously cool – right?!? The Photo Bus Booth is a mobile photo booth operating out of a 1971 Volkswagen Bus.
The owner (Mitch Brown) and I had been chatting about collaborating this vintage ’71 bus, with some fresh, THORN floral styling for some time. Then one Spring-like day, it finally happened! A local, Toronto team was recruited and we were headed to the beautiful grounds of High Park. Our intention was to create floral packages to be paired with the photo bus to offer our unique clients!
THORN floral’s first ever wedding show was held on the gorgeous grounds of Angus Glen Golf Club, just north-east of Toronto. All shots were photographed by the talented Raluca of Lula King Photo & Film.
For our booth, I envisioned heavy greenery accents + warm sunset floral tones, against a muted striped table cloth. A target representation of THORN floral’s unique style.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to floral up the craft cannabis LOVE market!
Thanks to Toronto event planner, Amanda (@cannaeventstoronto) – THORN floral was invited to add some wild, enchanted garden vibes to this colourful pop up event.
Inside an industrial, downtown event space held 25+ craft cannabis brands, live music, CBD fresh juice bar, yummy edibles + photobooth.
Another throwback to pre-opening days! Photographer Tania Dee (Verveine Studios), asked THORN floral to join the team on this Enchanted Garden editorial shoot. Held during sunset at Colbourne Lodge, which is located in one of my favourite green spaces in the city – High Park, Toronto.
Did you know Toronto’s first Architect build Colbourne Lodge for him and his wife in 1836? Talk about romance! As a west-end Toronto girl, I was all over this dreamy shoot! Colborne lodge is now a historical museum, and holds small weddings and events during warmer months.
