They say great marriages are built brick by brick, day after day over a lifetime. So it’s no surprise, Shannon + Mike choose to tie the knot in Toronto’s sought-after Evergreen Brick Works. Photographed by Lindsie Grey

Shannon envision lush greenery based bouquets for herself and her bridesmaids. Keeping the girls’ bouquets mixed greenery. A fun textural gathering to  accent their silk champagne gowns.

But can we take a moment to focus on Shannon’s bridal bouquet real quick?! This bouquet is something else. HOLY! An unstructured, rounded shape composed of garden roses, protea, anthurium, ranunculus, brunia berries around a bed of silver dollar eucalyptus, italian ruscus and ferns. Definitely one of my favourite bouquets to date!!

it was a perfect afternoon in late June – Shannon + Mike’s said their vows overlooking the natural marsh. The natural beauty didn’t require much decor so Shannon playfully scattered tropicals and ferns.  Simply beautiful!

The reception was modern,  fun and unique.  Total urban,  garden-party vibes. And of course with, lots and lots of greenery! Along whitewashed harvest tables, a collection of crisp white anthuriums and fluffy ferns crept along the place setting . These luscious garden-style centrepieces paired perfectly with sleek black taper candles. .What a way to eat a meal with all your favourite people! Surrounded by exposed brick, colourful graffiti  – the space was truly transformed into something special.

Shannon + Mike had some unique traits for their guests to enjoy. Rounded wooden swings to take a ride on – adorned by fluffy foliage garland. A 1971 Volkswagen Bus modified into a mobile photo booth. And last by not least, a seriously cool suspended seating chart,  which accented with asymmetrical ruscus.
