As a wedding florist, you get the chance to build the magical day so many little girls and boys dreamt about… Their wedding day!
If you’re like me – you’ve had the lucky opportunity of getting picked as wedding florist + bridesmaid on the same wedding. Not once, but twice has this happened in my career. It’s amazing, stressful and so so so heartwarming! But since, we’re just a few days shy of an anniversary – I’ll chat about my oldest gal pal’s wedding day at Hart House (October 2017).
Meet the Mr & Mrs! Aren’t they so adorably in love?! Talk about a match made in heaven!
Like every couple, every wedding day is different. Some brides follow the old tradition of not seeing their soon-to-be husband until they walking down the aisle. While others choose to include the relatively recent wedding addition known as a “first look” or “the reveal” pre-ceremony.
Because I couldn’t have said it better myself – “If you want to see two people who are full of life, hilarious, and pretty much always have a smile on their face, look no further than Mary, and Alex. Their touching card readings brought out the emotions of the day! Then they let it all out at the Warehouse venue, which included an amazing choreographed dance!” – Twenty 5 Films
As a wedding florist, I absolutely love seeing the professional shots from a couple’s wedding day. Captured so perfectly by Twenty 5 Films, this wedding film really lets you relive Mary + Alex’s magical day!
Earlier this summer, I had the pleasure of hanging with the lovely, fun & talented Rebecca Wagler of Wee Three Sparrows. She is a Toronto based wedding & portrait photographer. We spent the morning chatting about life, our growing businesses, florals, photography & travel.
Last month I blogged about our ‘Times Like These’ collaboration with a fun team of local vendors. The styled videography + photography shoot was held in the unique, industrial Jam Factory T.O. The theme around the shoot was this romantic couple embracing their first dance.

The shoot also featured the ‘#TheJustMarriedJacket’ which originated in Toronto. If you haven’t heard about the travelling bridal leather jacket – click here
After shooting a gorgeous wedding together last season (2017) – the sweet, talented & world-travelled photographer: Emily Michelson – reached out to THORN floral to collaborate on this vineyard shoot. THORN said – Cheers!
This dreamy styled shoot took place on a vineyard located in St. Catharine’s, Ontario – once again Emily blew me away with her magic behind the lens!
Earlier this May, I had lovely morning with Tania Dee, of Verveine Studios. As a female entrepreneur, it’s so beneficial chatting with like-minded, hard working individuals. THORN floral is all about supporting strong willed, hustling women! Who run the world – GIRLS!
I’ve worked with Tania on numerous, gorgeous styled shoots last season. To date, all of our editorial collaborations have been published on established wedding blogs. This day we did something a little different.. Tania shot my little floral shop, which included the women behind THORN floral – myself, Victoria!
